Microsites: How to Make Money with Adsense & Keyword Research

What is the Key to Any Successful Adsense Campaign?  Finding the Right Keywords!

In this post we are going to briefly discuss how you can build simple 4-5 page microsites and use them to make money with Adsense by using proper Keyword Research techniques.

If you are like me, I have always put off doing keyword research because I never fully understood it.  The tools that are available to you (free or paid) have always seemed to have huge discrepancies even when researching the exact same term.

The problem is, if you are looking to drive traffic through organic search,  you have to get this part correct or you are wasting your time. Before we get into details about keyword research let’s take a quick look what a microsite is and how you will monetize it:

What is a Microsite?

For the purpose of this article, a microsite refers to a website designed around a specific set of keywords that has an individual web page describing its purpose, a small cluster of support pages (think terms of use, privacy pages, etc), and a several relevant posts to provide value to your visiter.

Monetize (Make Money) with Adsense

This is a program that allows publishers (that’s you!) to monetize their websites through the AdChoices program. It can seem pretty complicated but it boils down to this:

• By applying for an Adsense account you become part of the Google Network of Content Sites
• Advertisements are served to your readers based on your websites content and the user’s geographical location
• Revenue is generated on a per impression or a per click basis

Keyword Research

Now to the important stuff!  Doing brilliant keyword research is the MOST important thing – think of it as the foundation that you will build on.  You want it to be strong and the best it can be.  Although keyword research can be done in a variety of ways, I use a tool call Keyword supremacy and because I believe you need to use use the best tools available to you, that’s what I’m going to show you!
